Will the United program hurt the existing AYSO core program?
NO! The United program is not competing against the core program, but is an extension of it.
Kids can play in both programs (United and core)
The United program will improve the core program:
United coaches can mentor the core program coaches
United players can come back and referee the core games
How will the AYSO philosophies be applied?
Balanced teams
Teams are balanced in the core program so that teams play “like” competition levels
United teams will be playing in leagues and entered into tournaments at the appropriate competition level
Everyone Plays
Players will play at least 50% of every game
Games are played in 2 halves with substitutions will be “on-the-fly”.
